I am using the Treemap visual to illustrate our Accounts Receivable Aging. When I click different slicers or other chart fields, the Treemap filters accordingly. However, when I click a "field" in the Treemap none of the other charts or tables respond. I am not sure what I should be looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi @mcornejo_1,
I creata a sample file to test and haven't faced your issue, can you share some detail content to help us clear your issue?
For example:
Desktop version, relationship cross filter setting(both or single), sample file.
Notice, If your relationship "cross filter setting" is single, only the main table can filter the related table, the related table cannot filter main table.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
Thank you Xiaoxin Sheng. However, All of the charts, tables and slicers are based on a single query with only 2 measures so there aren't any relationships to worry about.
If is it single table no need to worry about relatioship dude.
can u please check the "Edit Interaction" under Format . which is filtered or not ?
There could be couple of things that might lead you in the right directions.
Do you have many tables in your data model? If you do check out the relationship between the tables and see if they are one-directional or bi-directional. If they are one-directional table one filters table two but table two doesn't filter table one. Hope you understand me 🙂
The other thing to look out for (although unlikely) is the Edit Interaction on the Format menu when you have selected the Tree Map. See if you have disabled interaction from it
Sorry it took so long. I actually only have the one table which really confuses me. I checked the Interactions and it is on so I'm still stumped. Thank you bidgeir.
I'm having the same problem with a treemap I recently created. I have a similar situation to the one described. Any ideas?
Thanks!
