No Conditional formatting option on Data color

For some reason there is no option to use Conditional Formatting for coloring "line chart" lines.

Is DirectQuery having anything to do with it? Or could there be another reason for not showing it?

Just noting that I really wish PowerBI would add conditional formatting functionality to line charts.  The bar chart workaround doesn't seem to work any longer.

@Anonymous unfortunately conditional formatting is not available for line charts, the trick is to create a column chart, apply the conditional formatting, and then switch it to line visual, data points will use conditional formatting.

I've tried what you said but it still didn't work, no option for conditional formatting, even after switching between a column chart and a line chart. Same results for both new visuals and existing ones.

Hi, @Anonymous

Yes, line charts are not suitable for conditional formatting. The above switch is also not feasible.
What kind of user case needs to use conditional formatting for the line chart?, can you please elaborate on what you are trying to achieve or post sample data and expected result so it is clear on what needs to be implemented so that i may work out with a workaround?

Well, some of the lines on my line chart are subsets that were separeted from the main sets of values. And the line chart can do it, it shows all the subsets.

But, to better visualize the subsets from the same set, I would like to make them the same color instead of showing random colors.

I already have a method of creating hex color codes for different sets and the same hex color codes for subsets within a specific set, but I can't apply them because there isn't conditional formatting.
