Newbie question - Connecting to large dataverse tables

When I try to load 3 tables for one of my powerapps/dataverse environments it fails due to too much data (I have the Pro license, not the premium).

Is there a way to throttle the amount of data returned when you do a "Get Data" for the purpose of building the report using Power BI Desktop.

Once I publish the report will it run using all the data available (assuming that I built it with a smaller data set)

Or am I just misunderstanding how Power BI works - which is totally possible?

@vanRobert , Load less data on the desktop and try to load more on the service
