Sorry, newb question:
I'm building my first dashboard. I have two controls on it: Account Category and Accounts. When I select an acct cat I DO want the account list to reflect only those accounts which are in the selected category. But when I choose an account I DON'T want it to filter the acct cat list. How can break the link in only one direction?
Thanks, Randy Madden
Yes you can. What you need to do is select the visual. Go into the ribbon at the top and look for an tab area called "Visual Tools". There is a tab called "Format". This will only show if you have the visual selected.
There is a toggle button called "Edit Interactions". Once this is on, whenever you have a visual selected, you will be able to switch how it affects other visuals. In most cases you will see just a filter funnel or a circle with a line through it.
In your case select your Account Slicer, then click on the 'circle with line' icon on your Account List slicer.
