I am a new user to desktop PowerBI. I have a table with the following information:
The vendor clasification coulmn lists the different classifications of vendors. The vendor column lists the vendor ID, and the total column lists the total the vendor spent. I would like to rank the vendors by total within each vendor clasification.
I thoguht I could use the rankx function Measure = RANKX('PFP Ranking',[Total]) but I get an error indicating that Total can not be determined. After research, I thougth that this would work:

I think I found the issue. i was tyring to use a measure rather than a column. I used a column and now get the following:
The results look good. Now when i try to put the column value in a card, I get the value 2737 rather than the value 5 (displayed above)
I have no summary functions set on that field, and do not understand why it is trying to use them.
