New to PowerBI - Question about building a dashboard

I am new to PowerBI and have been asked to see if it is possible to duplicate an existing dashboard in PowerBI.  I have pulled in Spreadsheets and data from SQL before but what I have not done is built a dashboard that has tiles that are selector boxes where the data showed in the other tiles is scoped to what is selected in the selector boxes.  In the image below, the Programs and Periods tiles are the selector boxes and the data displayed in the other tiles is scoped to whatever is selected in the Programs and Periods tiles:

Yes, it is possible. Pleae use "Slicer" visual to select/ filter the values.
