New numeric range slicer behaviour

I have a slicer (filter) where year from a date table is specified as the field to use
Before I enabled the preview of the numeric range slicer, the slicer is exactly how I want it, listing distinct years (see first screenshot)
When I enabled the preview of the numeric range slicer, it changed the look of my existing slicer to that in the second screenshot

I don't want the new look for my slicer as I want my users to select distinct years, and I have not been able to figure out how to get back the old look and feel of my slicer
I created from scratch, etc., but to no avail

I know I can turn off the preview of the numeric slicer, but I am afraid that once this comes out of preview, I am stuck with the new look

Any suggestions, thanks all,

Hi ,

If you enable the header on your slicer you can select the option list (and others) on the "down arrow" then just go to your options as previously and select the horizontal option then you can disable the header once again.
