Hi,
I'm trying to create a measure to total a number of COUNT(s) using the following:
measure = COUNT('Table 1'[Active Hosts]) + COUNT('Table 2'[Active Hosts]) + COUNT('Table 3'[Active Hosts])
The COUNT for Table 1 is 100
The COUNT for Table 2 is 150
The COUNT for Table 3 is 200
So the Total should be 450 but applying the above measure gives a total = 3
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Tony
Solved! Go to Solution.
As mentioned by @parry2k make a relation between the three tables on the Active Hosts column and use the same DAX measure that you were using.
I have an example
You have three tables with column and make a relation and in one of the tables create a measure.
Hope this solves your problem.

What do you put the measure? Maybe you could try
measure = CALCULATE ( COUNT ( 'Table 1'[Active Hosts] ), ALL ( 'Table 1'[Active Hosts] ) ) + CALCULATE ( COUNT ( 'Table 2'[Active Hosts] ), ALL ( 'Table 2'[Active Hosts] ) ) + CALCULATE ( COUNT ( 'Table 3'[Active Hosts] ), ALL ( 'Table 3'[Active Hosts] ) )
For further advice, please post some sample data and expected output.
What is the relationship between tables?
In which table you are adding this measure?
