New filters - Copy the formatting between pages

Hello

With the new filters experience, is it possible to automatically apply the formatting from one page to another (some kind of format painter option)?

Currently, I need to redo the same formatting on 2nd page which I have already done on 1st page.

Regards

That's is a recurring problem with the Community Forum.  One fellows asks about copying page filters to another page and everyone jumps in with a 2 cents option which is not answering the concern: "Sync your slicers" one says.  That is NOT what the guy is asking. "Copy the visual" another one says.  That is NOT what the guy is asking.  If we want to help people, we should concentrate on answering their questions instead of making noise.  Seriously.

Yes I agree to copy the filter pane formatting to other pages should be an option or use the formatting on all pages. I have a report with numerous pages and spent time updating the filter formatting expecting it to apply to all pages and it doesn't. It would take me a long time to update all of them.

Hi @vmakhija ,

Could you have tested the sync slicer function:

@Anonymous

I am referring to the new Filters experience introduced very recently. Sorry for not being clear in my original post.

Once I set some formatting such as background color of the filter pane or for the filter cards on one page, I need to do that again on the next page all over again. So, I am looking for a way to do this on 2nd page with some easy "format painter" kind of thing.

Hi @vmakhija ,

Could you have tried just copy the visual(Ctrl+c) in the first report and paste(Ctrl+v) it in the second visual? Based on my test, it could copy the format.

Or you could use the format painter:

@v-danhe-msft

I don't think that works for filter pane.

Hello @vmakhija,

you mean "page level filters"?
If so - I'm afraid it's not possible to copy between pages Smiley Sad

You can always apply your desired filters to one page, then duplicate it and apply (or copy existing) needed visuals into that one.
