Dear All,
I have connected sharepoint folder to power BI report.
I had 3 files (2017, 2018, 2019) data while preparing report. Now I have added 2020 data newly to the folder of same schema and layout. Files are shown in edit query mode. But, the data is not getting reflected to dashboard.
When I remove 2018, 2019 data from source, it is getting reflected in dashboard. But 2020 data is not getting reflected.
Kindly help me how to proceed.
Hi @Anonymous
Sorry, I am a little confused, "Files are shown in edit query mode. But, the data is not getting reflected to dashboard. ", which power bi tool in using? desktop or service?
If in the desktop, make sure you've refreshed the data and there's no error prompted. also, Here's a typical workaround:
please create a new pbix file and clear the Permission the data source of SharePoint you used before under Edit Queries>> Data source setting>>Global Permissions>> find the sharepoint source >> Clear Permissions.
Reload the data. Combine then if needed: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/combining-excel-files-hosted-on-a-sharepoint-folder/
Dear @v-diye-msft,
I have linked sharepoint folder, it is reflecting in view (Please check click on right side pane)
"2020_Adhesives" is the new file shown in file list view
Data is not reflecting in excel data, (please check click on right side pane)
How to make data from new file 2020 to show in "observation view"??
See my blog post and video on working with Excel in SharePoint. https://marqueeinsights.com/how-to-merge-multiple-excel-files-with-power-bi/ This might help you see where things have gone wrong.
Hope this helps!
