Hi all,
I have a question about calculating new & reactivated customers in DAX. I read the article from Alberto Ferrari (https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/computing-new-customers-in-dax/) which was very helpfull. But it does not fit my situation completely.
A new customer in our company has the following definition: a customer which has a transaction for the first time or where the last transaction is more than 60 months ago.
A reactivated customer has the following definition: a customer where the time between the actual transaction and the last transaction is more then 24 months ago and less then 60 months ago.
What I finally want to see is the amount of new and reactivated customers per month for a selected year.
Let's say I have a facttable with customerID, transactiondate, amount combined with a DIMDate.
The solution should be a measure and not calculated columns because of performance issues.
Kind Regards and thanks in advance,
Jarno
Hi @JarnoVisser
You might consider creating pbix file that will contain some sample data, upload the pbix to onedrive or dropbox and share the link to the file. Please do not forget to describe the expected results based on this sample data.
I'd like to draw it up for you.
Hi,
Here is the file with the sample data and the expected results: https://we.tl/t-kiC8IDKnVp
Thank you in advance!

Jarno
