I am a regular Tableau user and now we are being asked to switch to Power BI. I am trying to learn how to use BI but it seems very difficult. One thing I noticed right away...I use a lot of totals. for example Tableau always lets you select total number of records as a measure, where is this located in BI?

You could use the Quick measure 'Total for category' to get a total count of a column.
