New TOTALYTD measures not working, all existing ones working fine

Hi,

Does anyone know if there has been any changes to TOTALYTD?

I use this quite extensively and all the measures I already have are working fine, but I any new measures I create do not work.

This measure, created a few weeks ago works fine

YTD Staff Expenses = TOTALYTD(Navision[Total Staff Expenses],'date'[Date],"6/30")

This one created yesterday does not

YTD Non staff expenses = TOTALYTD([Total Non-Staff Expenses],'date'[Date],"6/30")

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated

Hi all,

We managed to solve this one in house, it was an issue with filters.

Hello,

I am very new in PowerBI and having same issue. When I created a dashboard with MTD,QTD and YTD it works fine but now in new dashboard I am getting same total for all three measures.

Gross Bookings = CALCULATE(SUM(FactTable[Amount]),FactTable[Type]="Gross Bookings")

Actual GB = CALCULATE([Gross Bookings],Senario[SenarioName]="Actual")

Act GB MTD = CALCULATE([Actual GB],'Calendar'[Date])

Act GB QTD = CALCULATE([Actual GB],DATESQTD('Calendar'[Date]))

Act GB YTD = TOTALYTD([Actual GB],'Calendar'[Date])

with these measure I am getting same number for MTD,QTD and YTD.

Any help would be highly appriciated.

Thank you

Hi hl1357,

The function should not be considered as the cause, as that is somehow hardcoded.

TOTALYTD Function (DAX)

And I am interested in the formula that you created yesterday:

YTD Non staff expenses = TOTALYTD([Total Non-Staff Expenses],'date'[Date],"6/30")

Could you please share more information regarding the [Total Non-Staff Expenses], and the error message about the measure when you used?

The expression phase should be an expression that returns a scalar value.

And if possible, show some data model here so that we could offer a more suitable suggestion regarding the Expression.

Try this measure and see if the problem persists.

TOTALYTD([Total Non-Staff Expenses],'date'[Date], ALL(‘Date’), “6/30”)

Thanks & Regards,
Bhavesh
