New Power BI Certifications & MCSA BI Reporting

Hello everyone,

There are currently two brand new Power BI certifications in beta:

- 70-778: Analysing and visualising data with Power BI

- 70-779: Analysing and visualising data with Excel (with Power BI in Excel)

I cannot find any official documents from MS stating if these two certifications make you MCSA BI Reporting.

What about the new paths to become MCSE ? Any links / updates ?

@v-shex-msft: I saw your links a few weeks ago but they don't seem to be up to date.

The buildazure website mentions that Analysing data with Power BI + Developing SQL Data models are required to be MCSA BI reporting whereas @SQLSoft3 website shows Analysing data with Power BI + Analysing data with Power BI in Excel are enough for MCSA BI Reporting and Developing SQL Data models is one of the electives to be MCSE Data Management & Analytics.

The link that v-shex-msf pointed to is an earlier version of the certification paths.  The certification paths were streamlined last year 2016 Certification Path and then revised again in May/2017.  You can see the latest here 2017 Certification Path Update.  We have classes sheduled that support this certification path including official MOC On-Demand courses.  Hope that helps!
