Negative values to be displayed prepend with brackets

Hi there,

    We have certain problem in converting the minus (-) sign into Brackets ' (  ) 'sign for the numerical values on the Matrix visual. There is a solution for string values, but what we have is numerical value.

We used the following expression to conver the minus to bracket,

Measure = FORMAT(-100,"$#,##0;($#,##0)")

But, the above expression gave the result in string value; which has to be a numeric value since it is an amount field.

Please verify the attached screenshot that depicts the way we want to have the values with brackets. your esteemed help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Praveen.

Hi @Anonymous

The measure seems correct. It's not supported to change the measure from string values to numerical values.

Hi Cherie,

     Thank you very much for your reply to my question. I understood that it is not possible to convert the values with brackets to numerical values in Power BI.

Thanks & Regards,

Praveen.
