Need help working with slicers and bookmarks

Currently I have two reports with exactly the same visuals, one is for Current Month data the other is YTD Data. I would like to create a toggle button to condense down to one report. I tried doing that with bookmarks.

My problem is I have 2 slicers on the data, Date and Manager.  The toggle works fine for one manager, but when I try to select a different manager the visuals do not change.

I've seen many videos on bookmarks and not one seems to cover this type of scenario, although it seems to me it should be a common one. Maybe there's just an obvious work-around that I'm missing?

Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately it doesn't work at least for my needs.

I think, in my case it's because I need some filters to work with both bookmarks, but not others.

Hi @TCarrasquillo,

Believe that your problem is related with the option Data on the bookmarks. Click on the 3 dots on the bookmarks Pane and then see the if option Data is selected or not, if you have it selected it means that the bookmark will be saved with the slicer options at the time.

In you examples if you have sales manager 1 select on the slicer and save both bookmarks with that slicer active every time you select the bookmarks the slicer goes back to manager1.

Read carefully the first part of the documentation about bookmarks where they refer the data part.

"

You can also select whether each bookmark will apply data properties, such as filters and slicers, the display properties such as spotlight and its visibility, and page changes that presents the page that was visible when the bookmark was added. These capabilities are useful when you use bookmarks to switch between visual types - in which case you would likely want to turn data properties off, so filters aren't reset as users change visual types.

To make such changes select the ellipses next to the bookmark's name, as shown in the previous image, then select or unselect the check marks next to Data, Display, and other controls."

MFelix
