I am trying to create a calculated column with a DAX equation that checks a few columns for certain parameters.
The first part is checking to see if "POE" is in the "POE Chargeable" column. If "POE" is in that column, than leave it blank.
For the second part, I want to search for the word "Procedural" in column "Root Cause" and in column "Direct Cause", and display the word "Potential" if it notices "Procedural" in either of those columns.
This is the what I have so far and I know I am making some mistakes.
Potenetial POE = IF('Active RCA Audit'[POE Chargeable]="POE", BLANK(), OR(IFERROR(SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[ROOT CAUSE],BLANK(), IFERROR(SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[DIRECT CAUSE],BLANK(), "Potential", BLANK()))))))

Hi,
Try using this DAX
IF('Active RCA Audit'[POE Chargeable]="POE", BLANK(),If(OR(SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[DIRECT CAUSE],1,FALSE()),SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[ROOT CAUSE],1,FALSE())),"Potential",BLANK()))
Hi,
Try using this DAX
IF('Active RCA Audit'[POE Chargeable]="POE", BLANK(),If(OR(SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[DIRECT CAUSE],1,FALSE()),SEARCH("Procedural",'Active RCA Audit'[ROOT CAUSE],1,FALSE())),"Potential",BLANK()))
That worked! Thank you
