Need help showing only this month's value and last month's value.

I am building a KPI report and need help figuring out how to only show the most recent completed month's value and previous month's KPI. (Most recent month on April 16th, would be March and the previous month would be February). 

 

I am importing a table that looks like this.

There is no filter option that says "Most Recent"

You can create a new Measure that gets the previous month's value:

 

Measure 1 = <Some Percentage>

You can replace the 'Date'[Date] with your relevant date column:

Measure 2 = 
CALCULATE(
    [Measure 1], 
    PARALLELPERIOD('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH)
)

Then, add both measures to your visual.

This seems like a manual process, if I am updating this every month. 

Is there a way that I can use a function like MAX, or LASTNONBLANK ?

@PBIUWO - Ah, I see - you want to filter to only the two most recent months. I think the ideal way to do that is to have a date table, which contains an attribute called Relative Month. This value compares the month of the date with the month of the current date. 

 

1. Create a Date table in Power Query. Here is an M script for creating a robust Date table:

3. Create Relationship(s) between your new date table and your Fact table(s).

4. Add a slicer/filter which limits based on Relative Month Description.
