Need help-filtering by year

Hello, 

I need help filtering some data by year. The problem is that there isn't a date value in the data set I have, its just value columns with their year in the column heade name, i.e: 

2015 number of customers

2016 number of customers

2015 total sales

2016 total sales 

I need a way to filter by year, but when I add a filter to the report, it filters by the values (i.e. filters by sales $ or # of customers) since the only indication of year data is in the name of the columns.

Hi  @QRS_04,

If I understand your sceanrio correctly that you have a column with the values like below and you need a year column to filter your data?

2015 number of customers

2016 number of customers

2015 total sales

2016 total sales 

If it is, you could get the year by spliting your raw column in Query Editor.

Then you could change the year column to be date type.
