Hi, I have 2 cards visualization showing values of YTD and YTD last year, with a time slicer where I choose the month.
The 2020 YTD is something I am constantly updating, and I only have the data until May other than full year.
Once I use the time slicer to select any month, it is working, i.e. I selected March, it gives me lastYTD until last march. However, when there's no month selected in the beginning, YTD last year always shows the full year data of 2019. When people just arrives at my report, there should not be any date selection by default so people can choose the month they like to see.
I read some similar posts where people suggesting to adddate<today,which I didnt try yet. I am just wondering whether it would work.
What's the proper way to show this. Remember 2020 I only have data until May, so if I select August, I still want 2019YTD to show everything until August, but 2020YTD to show anything I have up to date.
Thank you for your help~~

@yyzyy ,
So you requirement is like the default value in a slicer, right? If so, you can refer to similar case below:

@yyzyy yes Today approach will work, because that will force PY to only show current year upto today's date and you will not get full year of number from the previous year.
