In the matrix visualization, i have the word "Total" instead of the word "Average". Is there a way to change this?
I cannot find it on the Format table.

Do you mean renaming the "Total" in Matrix marked below?
If that is the case, I don't think there is an option to do it currently. I would suggest you add it as an idea on Power BI Idea forum to improve Power BI on this feature.

Label in matrix visualization can be changed from under Vizualizations>>Format Visual>> Row Subtotals>> Subtotal label
With the new PBI updates, you can now edit that 'total' text to any other string. You have to select your visualization and navigate to the totals or subtotals label section within the formatting pane.
