NAV 2017 - Parsing Collection error

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect NAV 2017 to Power but after being exposed the Web Services Pages on NAV and connected the Data Sources through ODATA V.4 from Power BI Desktop i've got some issues with this error attached below (Parsing error .Collection).

Now, i fixed the error in this way and now the connection is running:

- Clean Cache of PowerBI desktop

- Clean corrupted Connection and Permission from Data Source Settings

- Cancelled the WebServices pages on NAV and republished/created new URLs on SOAP

- User a NAV user DB with a WebService Key

Said that, someone of you really knows what is the reason of these corrupted webservices? I don't know where but some operations of the users bring this errors and i have to clean again every time the PowerBI/NAV settings...

Thanks in advance

Hi @Pandario46,

In this scenario, trace log and fiddler trace may be needed to troubleshoot this issue. So I would suggest you create a support ticket on Power BI Support page for better assistance. Smiley Happy

Thanks a lot @v-ljerr-msft!

I've tried to use your tool to troubleshoot the problem but the errors still remain difficult to read in a easy way (could be several things on the server i guess).

The funny fact is that sometimes i have:

- Bad request (400) error outside the network of the customer

- Parsing error inside the network of the customer

- Mahsup error in a variable way like the lottery Smiley Very Happy
