NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN Used With Roles

I have a calculated table using NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN and this calculated table has a relationship with the table used for Roles.  When viewing the data as a given role, none of the  "outer" data shows, only the "inner" data.  I can't include the existing pbix, but I wanted to submit his general question, before I create an example pbix.

Thanks in advance,

@curtismob

Hi, @curtismob ;

Maybe you can try to use NATURALINNERJOIN (calculated table, Roles Table) or use NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN and change the position of the following two tables, NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN (Roles Table, calculated table).

https://dax.guide/naturalinnerjoin/

If my understanding is incorrect, can you share more details about your question?

Hi @curtismob

Can you clarify what you mean when you say none of the outer data shows?

I take it you mean the left table (first argument of NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN) is not showing within the joined table, but do you mean the columns are not visible, or something else?

Would be good to see a pbix example with a role defined if that's possible.

Regards

Owen
