Multiple Filters / Slicers to a Button

Not sure if this is possible but lets say you want to create a report that gives the user the option to select a button and it will apply multiple filters to a table.

EX: Click button that will filter "Pepperoni Pizza" = Size: Med / Crust: Thin / Sauce: Marinara / Cheese: Regular / Toppings: Pepperoni

Obviously my true report will be alot more complex than this but my hope is to build a few buttons that will have predetermined filters. The user will be able to select the button and it will filter the table down to what the predetermined filter will be instead of having a bunch of slicers and having the user manually select the slicers.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Hey,

what you are looking for can be achieved using the bookmark feature:

  • Pre Select Filters from slicers
  • Create a bookmark

Repeat 🙂

Here you can read about bookmarks:

https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/WA104380898?tab=Overview

Please be aware the the bookmarks feature is no longer in preview as the docs article describes, but besides that is pretty accurate 🙂

Regards,

Tom

@TomMartens ,

I have the question too, however, my problem is that I'm working with dates.  Meaning, I'm working with Two Years, (instead of having user select two years in the slicers), I would like to just have them select the last year, and it'll automatically select the prior year.

How can I make this dynamic so that when the new year comes, the selection will automatically appear so that it'll automatically select the prior year.  The solution given with bookmarks is static in that only the years I've specified will be applied.

TIA,

Mike
