Hi, we developed a custom data connector in Power BI. It consumed 4 different APIs. On analyzing the logs we found that multiple API requests were made where it had to be just a single request.
Things we did:
1. We checked our Connector logic and ensured that only one call is made.
2. We checked our logs to check if any problem in logging but there isn't any issue in logging.
3. We searched for a solution in every possible site but couldn't find the reason for this problem nor any solution for the same.
Hence, it would be of great help if anyone could explain why it makes multiple API calls instead of one and what is the solution for this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Anonymous
Chris Webb recently blogged about Power BI querying data sources more than once.

Not sure if it's relevant to custom connectors but it might help point you in the right direction...
Best regards,
Martyn
