Multi-year analysis with Matrix view

I am using a Matrix view to analyze sales performance.  I cannot analyize a period of more than one year with the matrix view (and the other visualizations for that matter).

The sales order data covers 2021 and 2022, so I would like to display January 2021, Feburary 2021 all the way to June 2022.  Instead it seems I can only aggregate on a single month which is not so useful.  I can make two reports for each year, but that is not ideal.

Here is how the Matrix looks in Power BI:

Please note that the data pulled are based on sales orders with minutes, days, months and the year.  Here is my Date Heirarchy setting.  I have a tried a few different approaches without much luck to get a nice mutli-year view.

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks, it's split out by year now exactly as I need.

What is the main difference my date hierarchy as shown in the scnreenshot and your hierarchy?  From what I can see, it seems you have year and month split out in your data model whereas my date is coming in as one column called DocDate.  In my case, Power BI creates a hierarchy on day, month, quarter and year.  I think click away day and quarter so that only month and year appears.

Hey Hari,

I have tested that heirarchy setting previously (and now again) and it still aggregates the months for 2021 and 2022 together in the matrix visualization.

Here is how it looks for me:

This is how the DocDate format looks in Power Query Editor in case it helps:

Hi,

Please check your hierarchy. See my result below. I hope you need all the month for a year and then same for another year as like below.

Thanks
