Hello
I am accessing data via direct query into a data cube.
There are two different date measures held in the data. The first is the date of sale. The second is the date that the service will be provided (i.e. including future dates). Both date measures have data held at individual date level, as well as month name and calendar year name.
I need to be able to display YOY revenue for a future service delivery date - say June, based on sales up until today and this date last year.
I've tried various different approaches including:
FILTER - works to create YOY only for service dates in the past, not future
SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR - I haven't been able to solve the contiguous date issue and have tried suggestions on this forum
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You
Hi @papasfritas,
Do you have a Date table that contains future dates? If you'd like to analyze future data, there should be a future date.
Since it's a live mode, I would suggest you create such a measure in the Cube.
Best Regards,
Thanks for the response.
Yes, there should be an option created in the cube, however I know it can't happen soon, so I'm looking for a solution in the interim.
thanks
Hi @papasfritas ,
I'm afraid there isn't much we can do with the Live connection. Please refer to the snapshot below.
