Month over Month Percentage error

Hi,

 

I am getting below error when trying to do month over month percentage calculation. First of all I dont see Month over Month option under Quick Measure using June 2019 version.I have direct query model. Billing period is date column. & i have a percentage column. Any way to achieve this? Thanks

Hi Pap16,

At first, the MoM measure is in Time intelligence

In addition, you use a field which not  a date type will cause this error

You could try to change data type to date like below, which will work well

I am using Direct Query model as mentioned before. So i dont see an option for Time intelligence. Is there any other way to do this?

In direct query u can convert colmn to data type and use it like above.

As mentioned already my column is of date type only. Not sure if i understand your point. please suggest

U must be sure about it because no more ideas here.

 

To test type of this column u can try to create calculated column test_column = DATEADD('DIM BillingPeriod',1,MONTH)

my date column has values like 2018-01-01,2018-01-13,2019-01-01,2019-01-13 etc. 

Please suggest.
