Measures do not work in some charts.

Measures do not work in some charts. Line charts for example. Yet they do work in others. Scatter plots for example. Why the inconsistency? When will this be fixed?

@friedcc,

Please provide screenshots or samples.

Attempts to add a measure to the Axis field do not work.  Dragging the measure to Axis for a line chart results in nothing happing.  There is nothing to show.

What measures are you using and what are you trying to do with them? No need to post twice by the way

I have some sequence numbers and cumulative totals that I am trying to display in a line chart.  These work in a scatter plot, but line charts (and most others) do not accept these measures for the axis.  There is no error message, but the measure is not added as the axis.

HI @friedcc,

First, power bi not support to use measure on axis. Measure is a summarized value, it will calculate based on other group column to generate mutiple result, but measure can't use as group column or direct expand multiple records.

Some of visuals not support display text value on value field, if your measure returns text value and you are try to use these measure on unsupported visuals, they will show blank result.
