My data has certain tasks with a start date , end date and a status column that reads "completed" or "On Going". I have made a dates table. I want to see how may tasks were open on each day from an excel file that refreshes every morning. The idea is to conditionally format using the following logic: If the task is still open then it will take that into the count and if the task was closed that day means it was open up untill that day so it will take into count as open on the previous day. I dont know how to write this into a measure in power bi. Any Idea?
@Anonymous , refer if this HR blog can help. The current employee is very similar to your need
Tried it. Didnt really work...it just gave me how many open from that day on the present date.
@Anonymous ,Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
