I need to find the sum of total sales by sales group so that I can compare what portion of the total sales each sales rep accounts for.
In the example below, I need the calculation for the group sales column but I also need to make sure that it groups by the Sales Group because there are other Sales Groups in the dataset
Employee | Sales Group | Sales | Group Sales | Portion of sales |
Bob | Sporting Goods | 15 | 50 | 30% |
Jane | Sporting Goods | 15 | 50 | 30% |
John | Sporting Goods | 20 | 50 | 40% |

you can try to create two columns
Column = CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Sales]),ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[Sales Group]))
Column 2 = 'Table'[Sales]/'Table'[Column]

@ryan_mayu Thats perfect!
Got another one for you.
How would I determine the average sales per sales group? I'd like to compare their sales to the average.
is this what you want?
average = 'Table'[Column]/CALCULATE(COUNTROWS('Table'),ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[Sales Group]))
