I'm using Power BI Report Server Jan 2020 build.
Following is my measure for one of the columns in a matrix table -
MonthEndOpen =
VAR EOM = MAX('Calendar'[EOM])
RETURN
SUMX( FILTER(ALL(RequestStats), RequestStats[received_date] <= EOM && (RequestStats[closed_date] > EOM || RequestStats[closed_date] = BLANK())),1)
I have a column called Unit which represents the various units in the company. When I drop this "Unit" column to "Filters on this page" or "Filter on all pages", it does not do anything to the MonthEndOpen column no matter what unit I select in the filter. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Not very clear.
It seem that you are using sumx(all(table),1) .
Are you trying to count the number of days that meet certain conditions?
Maybe you can take a try to use ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[UNIT]) to replace all(table).

@v-easonf-msft any chance I can send you a pbix privately. This was worked on by a pair of third party consultants (who themselves consulted google while building this) before I was hired. The whole thing seems to be a jumbled mess.
