Measure - Filter Help

Hello,

I have the below measure which is working as expected, but I'd like to know how I could make it so that it counts based off of a filter called "employee type".

01. Direct Reports - ID's =

VAR direct =

    CALCULATETABLE (

        VALUES ( 'Report Output'[Employee Number] ),

        FILTER ( ALL ('Report Output'), [Mgr. Emp. #] = MAX ( [Employee Number] ) )

    )

RETURN

    IF (

        ISEMPTY ( direct ) = FALSE (),

        CONCATENATEX ( ( direct ), [Employee Number], ", " )

    )

Thank you,

@redwings00 sure change it:

01. Direct Reports - ID's =

VAR direct =

    CALCULATETABLE (

        VALUES ( 'Report Output'[Employee Number] ),

        FILTER ( ALL ('Report Output'), [Mgr. Emp. #] = MAX ( [Employee Number] ) && 'Report Output'[Type] IN VALUES ( FilterTable[FilterColumn] ) )

    )

RETURN

    IF (

        ISEMPTY ( direct ) = FALSE (),

        CONCATENATEX ( ( direct ), [Employee Number], ", " )

    )

@redwings00 if the Type is in the same table and you are using the Type column in the slicer, you don't need to put a condition in the filter as your table will be filtered based on the selections in the slicer. Not sure what you are trying to achieve? seems like I'm missing something here. You should try things before posting the question and provide more details.

@parry2k Apologies for not providing more details. When I use slicers, the counts are still counting as if they are still present.

I did try before I reached out.

I recreated my model to have them in separate tables and this solution worked.

@parry2k Hmm, if its all in the same table, would this be correct? It seems to be giving me an error regarding the RETURN section

01. Direct Reports - ID's =

VAR direct =

    CALCULATETABLE (

        VALUES ( 'Report Output'[Employee Number] ),

        FILTER ( ALL ('Report Output'), [Mgr. Emp. #] = MAX ( [Employee Number] ) && 'Report Output'[Type] IN VALUES ( 'Report Output[TYPE] )

    )

RETURN

    IF (
        ISEMPTY ( direct ) = FALSE (),
        CONCATENATEX ( ( direct ), [Employee Number], ", " )
    )

@redwings00 maybe add a filter condition

01. Direct Reports - ID's =

VAR direct =

    CALCULATETABLE (

        VALUES ( 'Report Output'[Employee Number] ),

        FILTER ( ALL ('Report Output'), [Mgr. Emp. #] = MAX ( [Employee Number] ) && 'Report Output'[Type] = "your type value" )

    )

RETURN

    IF (

        ISEMPTY ( direct ) = FALSE (),

        CONCATENATEX ( ( direct ), [Employee Number], ", " )

    )

@parry2k Thank you for the quick response. Instead of defining what the type would be, is it possible to have this update based on a filter selection I make within the visual?
