Maximum number of line items

Hello,

Please can you tell me if there's a maximum number of line items in Power BI? (I think matrix tables have a link to something like "show me the line items behind this table"). For arguments sake could I show 300,000 line items? (I'm considering using Power BI to create data for the accounts department to use internally, in addition to the usual visualisations, just so that everything is running off the same database).

Hi @CloudMonkey,

There is no limitation on the rows of data you can import into Power BI desktop currently. Speed depends on your datasource and architecture. But if you want to publish it to Power BI service, there two licenses, Power BI (free) and Power BI Pro, with different data capacity limits:

1. Free and Pro users have a maximum 10 GB data storage.

2. Pro users can create app workspaces, with a maximum 10 GB data storage each.
