Untitled.jpg

my purpose

1. upload part picture
2. I want a point on the part with the name defect using defect's x-y axis.
3. see the defect name at the intersection of the x-y axis

I tried all the visual tools on the power bi sharing platform on this subject and could not reach the result I wanted.

Hey @dante_imp54 ,

I assume what you are looking for is a combination of

I use the "Enhanced Scatter" custom visual from app source to create something like this:

It can become somewhat tricky to get the points on top of the image at the correct position

Hopefully, this provides some ideas on how to tackle this challenge.

Regards,

Tom

Hi @dante_imp54 ,

According to my understanding, you want to use Scatter(X Y) and load a image in it,right?

Please follow these steps:

1. Since the X/Y values would be summarize automatically based on the same name, please add a Index column and then combine Name and Index column as a new unique column like this:

12.28.2.2.PNG

2. Create chart using imported Scatter Chart by Akvelon visual--> change Transparency under Background in the Formatting pane.

3. Import the image ,use the Bring forward/Send backward buttons in Format tab to arrange it.

Please take a look at the gif shown below and the pbix file here
