Hello @vanessafvg,

the datatype can't be the reason because when i publish the report it's been shown in the power bi service. So i guess my firewall or something is blocking a connection from desktop version.

Best regards

I've come across this issue as well. On the local machine it can be a bit hit and miss but if published to the service or the in-premise report server the maps render straight away. Presume it's something to do with firewall or the local internet connection back to my machine. However, searching using BIng Maps works straight away.

Never come across a solution yet.

Strangely I'm seeing the opposite of this. The Filled Map works correctly in Power BI Desktop, but on powerbi.com it doesn't. This must be a service issue though because I have reports I've published in the past which were working which no longer work either.

Edit: More intresting... I switched to an InPrivate Edge instance, and THAT instance works. No idea what's going on, but at least it isn't an issue for those consuming my reports.
