Hi,
I need to map a date field to a date/time field. Using query editor I tried changing the data type of the "date/time" field to "date". But when I try to map the two tables together I get a dotted line (i.e. there are no relationships). I've got through the two fields and there are definately the same dates in each field. Please can you tell me how to fix?
Thanks,
CM

Hi CM,
If you got a dotted line, you have gotten a relationship that is inactive. Because only one relationship is active at a single time. Please check it out.
You mentioned there are no relationships. Please try to active it manually.
If the issue is still there, please provide your .pbix file. At least a sample and some snapshots.
Best Regards!
Dale

Thank you @v-jiascu-msft when I went to the "Edit relationship" window in your screenshot there was a message telling me the relationship was inactive because it was conflicting with another relationship. I incorrectly assumed the dotted line meant the data formats were not compatible. But I see now that Date fields can be mapped to Date/Time fields.
I removed the other conflicting relationship and it now works.
Thanks,
CM
