Mapping With Lat Lon - Level of Accuracy

With what level of accuracy are lat/lon pairs plotted?  I've heard they're plotted to a zip level of accuracy, is that accurate?  Do any of the custom maps, e.g., ArcGIS, Mapbox, show location more accurately?

Hi @Anonymous,

I think latitude and longitude will help map visual improve the accuracy of location mapping. You can also take a look at the official document to know the tricks of using map visuals:

Tips and tricks for Power BI map visualizations

For location accuracy level: Latitude and longitude > detail location address > common address/place name > abbreviation location/zip code/region code

Xiaoxin, your answer certainly isn't a solution and you shouldn't have marked it as such.  Come on Microsoft....

My question, put another way:

How many decimal places in a given lat/lon coordinate pair are recognized by Power BI's 'map' visualization?  For example, 6 decimal places is good enough to unambiguously recognize or discern an individual human, while 3 places is good enough for a street.
