Re: Mapbox Visual

HI @jayanthan,

I'd like to suggest you take a look at official document on mapbox home page:

Make a choropleth map with the Mapbox Visual for Power BI

In addition, you can also take a look at custom map of shape map:

Re: Mapbox Visual

Jayanthan - Creating your own custom map using Mapbox and Power BI is a multistep process. The most important part you need to remember is that Mapbox does not currently support topojson files, only geojson files. Luckily, it's very easy to convert topojson to geojson.

Here are the steps you need to take:

1. Import the latest Mapbox Visual in Power BI (if you haven't done so already)

2. Download a local copy of the topojson file

3. Upload the topojson file to mapshaper.org

4. Use mapshaper to convert the topojson to geojson

5. Export a local copy of the new geojson file (when saving, make sure the file type is ".geojson" and not ".json")

6. Follow the steps on the Mapbox blog, starting with "Upload your tileset to Mapbox"

I created a short video below to show how to convert your Nepal topojson to geojson, upload it to Mapbox Studio, and use it as a layer in the Mapbox Visual in Power BI. Note: I'm using Nepalese data that shows population by province.
