Map works in Desktop app but not when published online

I've seen a few topics on maps not working on the web vs. desktop and needing to use Modeling > Data Category -http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Desktop-Map-working-but-shows-nothing-online/m-p/193353#M851...

I have tried this fix and it is not working. My locations are showing up wrong and the addresses are not showing up at all.

I just test with latest Power BI Desktop version: 2.47.4766.801 32-bit (June 2017), and published to Power BI Service. The map visuals show in Desktop and Service are same as following screenshots. Hanoi, Viet Nam also shows correctly.

Note that I've changed the data category of 'Full Address' to 'Place'.

Changing the Data Category to Place worked for me too! I was using Address before as well. Thank you!!!

Thanks Herbet!  That was it.  Once I changed the the "Data Category" to "Place" in Power BI deskop and published, it started working as expected.   Seems strange that this suddenly changed because I have been using Address all along without issue.

Thanks, David

I am not able to attach the .pbix file (only Photos)

Here is a simple example.  Notice in Power BI desktop Hanoi, Viet Nam show correctly but in Power BI online it shows in Louisiana USA and most entries are missing on the map.

Here is the data I imported from Excel.   I used the "Full Address" column as the Location.

Could you please provide the PBIX file to me? I can have a try on my side to see if I can repro the same issue.

I am seeing the same issue.  No resolution.  I have tried the suggestions from other sites but no luck yet.

Seems to be a new issue.  This was working last week.
