Map visualisation

I'm trying to filter a map visualization such that it highlights the filtered location rather than only showing me the filtered location. For example, if I filter on a location (locations are resturant sites), i'd like PowerBI to zoom into that site, highlight it and still show all the surrounding restaurants. Is there any way to do this directly or indirectly?

Hi @SahilM,

Instead of using slicers/filters to filter the map, you can use the cross-highlight feature to achieve the above requirement. In other words, you can create other visuals and use the visuals to filter the Map.

Hi,

Thank you for the response; however, we are still having the same issue.

When I click on a site name, it still acts as a filter, hiding all the sites around it:

However, when we select on a site on the map itself, it highlights it, keeping the other sites on the map:

Is there any way to achieve the same outcome as above (highlighting the selected site without eliminating those around it) using either a filter to choose the site name/id or through selecting a site on the stacked column chart?

Hi @SahilM

Based on my research, the map can only show us the filtered location. It is not possible for us to achieve the same outcome as you described currently.

You can come up an idea, Your feedback is valuable to improve the level of our products. Thanks for your understanding.
