Many:1 then 1:Many Pass through relationship

Hello,

I am trying to see if what I am doing is possible. I have three tables. One transactions (many values), One the main categories (unique values), One sub categories (many values). How can I create a table showing the transactions with their sub categories?

All three tables are linked by a category_id

When I try to create a table with the name, category_main,category_sub I get an error??

What do you mean by creating table?  Is it visual or a custom table? Because, I am able to create a visual table without any problems.

Thank you !!

I was able to get it to work. Weirdest thing was that it didnt work on my Microsoft Surface which has only 2 cores and the PBIX Desktop is not up to date. But when I withed to my elite book with 6 cores and the latest PBI Desktop it worked perfectly.

Thank you for confirming I wasnt crazy using that relationship structure!

Glad, it worked..

Cheers
