Making Slicer functional

Hi all,

I want to ask one thing that I have made one slicer named frequency that contains SELECT ALL,  WEEKLY, MONTHLY, QUARTERLY. Also, I have used 45 card in my dashboard ( 15 each for WEEKLY, MONTHLY, QUARTERLY ), So i want when I press weekly, i just want only 15 weekly cards , when i press monthly , i want only 15 monthly cards.

Also, I can also choose weekly and monthly both at the same time so that I will get 30 cards ( 15 for weekly and 15 for monthly) and so on. Such type of thing I want in my dashboard.

Can somebody please help ?

Thanks !

Hi @tarun912 ,

You could reference the links to change your visuals using toggles. If you want to use slicers to implement it directly, it is impossible.

However, as parry2k said, your report will be with bad performance. You could reference the documents to optimize it.

@tarun912 first and foremost, having 45 visuals is really a bad design, each visual is going to send a query, means 45 queries and this will lead to a very performance, you should be looking into different visual, like table/matrix or other visuals

Regarding hide and show visuals based on selection, you have to look into button and page navigation and that is your best option.

Hi,

I got your point regarding the performance levels, but as per my UI card is the best visualisation I found in Power BI.
By using table/matrix instead of cards hampers my UI , that's why not using them, actually no UI change is allowed in my project, earlier the report was built in jaspersoft and now i am migrating it to power bi.

Thanks !

Hi,

I saw the links but that doesn't solve my problem statement.

Hi @tarun912 ,

I find a blog. Maybe it can help you.
