Make a Pie rescale to table selection?

Hi folks,

Ok... this is one where I suspect there is a straight forward answer, I just don't know what the heck I need to Google to get to it... any direction would be much appreciated!!!

I have a worksheet that has:

Table A: Employee, Total Expenses

Pie A: Total Expenses Split by Expense Category

When I select Table A, Pie A updates to "gray out" and only show what is relevant to the Employee selected.  However, it does not rescale the pie so the total dollar value represnts just that employee.  To illustrate this I've attached a picture of where I have selected an Employee that has a total of $180 in expenses with $90 from Exp Type 14 and $90 from Exp Type 17.  I would rather the pie just resize to only show Type 14 and Type 17 totaling to $180.

@Anonymous , You can use edit interaction. It has two options for a few visuals Filter or Fill. Use filter if you want to redraw it when you get new values

Thank you both @amitchandak and @mahoneypat  for the responses.  Meant to say so earlier, but this helped a great deal

Please see this video.  You can "Edit Interactions" of each visual with the rest of them.  Highlight a visual, then click on Format and then Edit Interactions.  In your case, change the interaction from crosshighlighting to filtering.

If this works for you, please mark it as solution.  Kudos are appreciated too.  Please let me know if not.

Regards,

Pat
