Magento(e-commerce) Connection with Power BI

Hey guys!
I was trying to connect Magento to Power Bi, and can't seem to find a clear answer as to how to do it. Does anyone have an experience or know a way to connect Magento. I figured I would most likely need to use an API but I'm not sure. Any ideas would help!
Thanks!

Hi @tdaniel

For Magento there is an extension that integrates Magento store with Power BI:

 https://www.bimproject.net/en/products/extensions-for-magento/power-bi-integration.html

The integration is done with REST APIs and delivers data directly to Power BI Service.

Another option is usage of OData API, which is also provided by Power BI Sales Cube extension for Magento:

Hi @tdaniel As a workaround, you could connect Magento directly to PBI using a 3rd party connector. I currently use windsor.ai 's Magento connector and it works great, I think this way is easier and saves you a lot of time

Since the thread was posted 2 years ago, there have likely been advancements and new methods available for connecting Magento to Power BI. I recommend checking out the official Magento documentation or exploring online communities to find the latest and most up-to-date solutions.
In general, using an API is still a common approach to integrate Magento with Power BI. Magento's API provides the necessary endpoints to retrieve data and connect it with Power BI's reporting and analytics capabilities.
Here's a dope link I found that might guide you through the process: https://transformagency.com/magento-1-to-magento-2-migration/ . It's packed with useful info and might give you some rad insights.
