Loosing filters in desktop

Hi - after an update of Power BI, I´m loosing my filters every time I open my rapport or publish it to the web.

I didn´t have that problem befor my update.

Anyone nows what I´m missing or doing wrong?

Hi @Andersen

Do you lose all filters or any specific filter?

How about change another web browser?

Best Regards

Hi @Andersen@v-juanli-msft

I have the same issue more or less.

In my scenario:

I have visualizations with filters.

I have bookmarks applied in the report.

When I activate the bookmark, the filters are deleted from the visualization settings.

Happens both in desktop and Power BI Web service.

Must say this is very anoying and most important, causing wrong data to show! Cat Frustrated

For example:
I have a card showing #of IDs where type = x.
I press the bookmark and the card shows #of IDs where type = ALL.

The filter is just deleted!

Thats the default behavior of bookmarks.

When you create a bookmark, the following elements are saved with the bookmark:

  • The current page
  • Filters
  • Slicers, including slicer type (for example, dropdown or list) and slicer state
  • Visual selection state (such as cross-highlight filters)
  • Sort order
  • Drill location
  • Visibility (of an object, using the Selection pane)
  • The focus or Spotlight modes of any visible object

You can select whether each bookmark will apply data properties, such as filters and slicers, the display properties such as spotlight and its visibility, and page changes that presents the page that was visible when the bookmark was added. These capabilities are useful when you use bookmarks to switch between visual types - in which case you would likely want to turn data properties off, so filters aren't reset as users change visual types.
