Lookup using IF or SWITCH

Hi,

Can you please review below scenarios and provide your suggestion/s?

I have two tables and both tables are not connceted with any relationship

If table 1 country name column match with table 2 country name then comments should be “DEALER”.

Table 1 (Look Up Table)

Country Name

Brazil

Ecudor

Peru

Mexico

 

Table 2

Country Name

Comments

Brazil

Dealer

Ecudor

Dealer

Peru

 

Mexico

Dealer

Hi @tejapowerbi123,

 

In your sample data the full dataset is on both tables so the result would be Dealer in all rows.

 

Add the following column to your table 2:

Dealer = IF(LOOKUPVALUE(Table1[Country Name];Table1[Country Name];Table2[Country Name]) <>BLANK() ;"DEALER")
