Lookup from OLAP Query to File on Hard Drive

I am looking for a way to create a lookup from an OLAP Query live connection to a lookup file on my hard drive, also connected to the PowerBI Report. The OLAP Query holds all of our company's sales/reporting data. We have items rolled up into Product Category, Product Family, Brand, etc. However, I have a separate lookup file that rolls up these SKUs into separate categories: Scorecard Categories. This uses the following concatenate: [Product Category]-[Product Family]-[Brand] to assign a new Scorecard Category and Subcategory. I am unsure how to create this lookup as I want it to link to a live OLAP Query.

Does anyone have some suggestions as to how this can be accomplished?

Thank you!

Hi @marksaba

If you connect to a model with Live connection, you cannot add other data sources to the same Power BI report.

In some scenarios, you can convert a Live connection to DirectQuery then add additional data sources to the report. However this is still a preview feature and has many limitations and considerations. You can refer to the following document to get more information.
