Looking up a column with entries from a table ie a vlookup in powerbi

I'm basically trying to do a "vlookup" against a table with 2 columns using power query.

So say I have a column called "address" and the function scan matches it against a table with column 1 being city names(to be matched on) and column 2 - Country being the item returned

Since you mentioned using Power Query, this might be useful.

@StephenF ,

In DAX, the function is LOOKUPVALUE.

Documentation can be found here:

I'm trying to clean up the data on the edit query side as the data comes in. DAX always seems ropey when it comes to filtering the data afterwards..
