Login as new user to same data source for testing

Hi I  have a scenario where I want to check two Pbix files one as  a Sales Manager and a differnt pibix file as Sales Person from a same PC

When I open sales manager report  and connect to sql server, I login using my "AzureAD account" and get connected to a sql server andI see all report working fine.

When I open sales person report I wanted connect to same sql server soruce but this time using "SQL login" (Not Azure AD) and somehow this sql server source is linked to my Azure AD account.

In Power BI desktop , from a same PC , can i not use two differnt logins to connect to a same source using two different pibix file ?

thanks

Anbu

Hi @Anonymous

You may try to clear and edit the permission in data source settings.

HI Thanks for your reply.

I did the exact thing before posting my question in the forum. It is bit unclear how the power bi authentication connection is established.

If you clear and change the authentication method(current file or global permission), the changes are reflected on both reports.  I would like that change to take effect only one report and not on the other report, say for example the sales manager report. Is that possible ?

Hi @Anonymous

Based on my research,it seems impossible. You may vote for this similar idea which has been submitted and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.Below are some posts for your reference.
